PAM MARTIN was born in Stockton, California and spent her childhood moving through several counties. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Santa Clara University (1980) and an MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute (2002). Her work has developed in various media while engaging both solo and collaborative practices. She has exhibited at Headlands Center for the Arts, Luggage Store Gallery, The LAB, as well as other venues both nationally and internationally. Currently, through drawing, painting, and writing she examines concepts of enmeshment as it relates to relationships and other root bodies. Her current visual work Decomposing Display was exhibited at Alley Cat Books in San Francisco. Her most recent writings, Wishbookin’ and Ramparts Internal, have appeared in 2nd floor projects limited editions and Zyzzyva. She has taught at the San Francisco Art Institute. She lives and works in Woodacre, CA.
